Kurmajas Prospekts developed as a resort street, where concerts and theatre performances took place. In the past, there was a hotel "Kurmāja" here, as well as an electric tram. Perhaps only a few buildings from history have been preserved here, but we cannot disagree that travellers still often visit this area.
